Step 04 of 06

Review the first version

What you'll understand

What to look at, how to give feedback, and when it's due.

How this step works

How this step works

What happens
I share the first version and tell you what to focus on. You send your notes; I make the changes.
What I need from you
One combined set of notes from your decision-maker, by the due date in my email.
What you receive
An updated version with each note addressed. Your proposal sets how many review rounds are included.
Next decision
Is it ready to approve?

This is the general shape of my process. Your written proposal and signed agreement set the exact scope, schedule and revision rounds for your project.

In detail

How to give useful feedback

Clear notes mean fewer rounds and a better result.

  1. Look at it on your phone as well as your computer
  2. Collect everyone's notes into one list, from one person
  3. Say what to change and why: “this feels too formal for our customers” helps more than “I don't like it”
  4. Screenshots with arrows or circles are perfect
  5. Tell me what's working too, so I know what to keep
  6. Send it by the due date so the timeline holds

Your next action

Reply with your goal and your questions.

The easiest next step is to answer my latest email. If you don't have it handy, use my contact page and I'll pick it up from there.

  • The step you think you're at
  • Anything from the materials checklist you're missing
  • Any questions these pages didn't answer
