02Purpose

BEMS will build a website for Housing in Iceland that lists its furnished homes for long stays and takes rental requests and payments directly.

The long-term goal is to list up to 100 properties on the site, so the site is built from a reusable property-page template that can be repeated for each new listing.

03Scope of work

The project fee covers the website and social media package for the company as a whole, including these pages:

3.1 What BEMS provides

• Page layout, design and site structure
• Booking and request forms
• Search engine optimisation (page titles, descriptions and share images)
• Placing, sizing and optimising the images the Client supplies
• A reusable property-page template for adding future properties
• Social media set-up and content, as described in the original proposal
• Management of the domains and the website on the Client’s behalf
• Website support and edits after launch (see section 5)

3.2 What the Client provides and pays for

• All photos and video of each property, supplied by the listing party
• The domains (housinginiceland.com and housinginiceland.is), Squarespace hosting and any other running costs, paid directly to each provider
• The written content for the Terms and conditions, Payment page and Lease agreements, supplied by Helgi Gunnlaugsson Agla and his son
• The business email address that bookings and enquiries are handled through
• All wording, images and property information, shared through the project’s Google Drive folder

BEMS is not responsible for the legal accuracy of the terms, payment rules or lease agreements the Client supplies.

3.3 Additional properties

Properties beyond the four named above are added using the property-page template. The fee for each additional property page will be agreed in writing before work starts.

04Fees and payment

• This agreement must be signed by both parties by 30 November 2026.
• BEMS sends an invoice for each payment. All payments are made by bank transfer to BEMS’s Landsbankinn account, with the account details shown on each invoice.
• The first support invoice is sent only after the project fee has been paid in full.

05Revisions and support

• The project fee includes revisions and corrections during the build.
• Each page has a one-week grace period after it is delivered for changes to its wording. Images are supplied by the listing party and replaced at the Client’s request.
• After the grace period, changes are handled under the monthly website support: small edits to prices, photos, wording and dates, checks that forms and payments keep working, and fixes if something breaks.

06Domains, website and ownership

• BEMS manages the domains and the website on the Client’s behalf.
• The domains, hosting, photos, video and the Client’s written content belong to the Client and remain in the Client’s name.
• On cancellation, BEMS hands over all access to the domains, hosting and accounts it manages for the Client.

07Cancellation

• Either party may cancel this agreement at any time with 30 days’ written notice, sent by email.
• Work completed and support provided up to the end of the notice period are paid for in full.

08General

• The Client confirms it has the rights to all photos, video, wording and documents it supplies.
• Any change to this agreement must be made in writing and accepted by both parties.
• This agreement is governed by Icelandic law.

09Signatures
